Sotitobire: Police arrest 10 People For Burning The Church (video)

The Police info state on Thursday said it has arrested 10 suspected arsonists who were part of a mob that set Sotitobire Miracle Church in n Akure ablaze.

The arrests followed the Wednesday attack and burning of the church located in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

The mob claimed that the corpse of the missing one year old boy, Gold Kolawole who got missing in the Church over one month ago was exhumed from the church alter.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Undie Adie confirmed the arrest.

He said the Police will work to ensure that all perpetrators of the crime are apprehended and prosecuted.

He said: following the incident, men of the Nigeria Police Force swung into action avoiding breakdown of law and order.

 Investigation is ongoing and I can assure you that any person linked with the incident won’t be spared. On Wednesday,we were able to arrest 10 persons and they are in our custody. We also intercepted a vehicle carryimg some of the properties looted from the pastor’s house.

The police were able to protect the pastor’s house from been set ablaze but some of his properties were looted and some of his cars were damaged but the cars have been moved to state CID, be adsed

Adie also lamented that an officer and a civilian died during the incident.

According to him, another Police was critically injured

The Commissioner appealed to residents of Akure to be law abiding citizens and detach themselves from any unlawful act capable of putting them in trouble.

Meanwhile, the owner of the Church, Prophet Babatunde has dragged the Department of State Services (DSS) to a federal High Court sitting in Akure over his unlawful detention for over one week.

He lamented the failure of the DSS to arraign him over the incident of the one-year Boy, Gold Kolawole who allegedly got missing in his church.

The Cleric was accused by the parents of the missing child over the mysterious disappearance of their son from the church during church service.
