Nigerian Policemen Mistake US Based Police Officer For A Yahoo Boy (photos)




US Police Official of Nigerian background has taken to his social media page to explain his experienced with Nigerian Police Officers who thought he was a yahoo boy.

A man named Olu is in the country to celebrate the special seasons with his family, however was astounded when he was halted at two different checkpoints on same street by officials of the Nigeria Police Force.

According to him, he was profiled by the officials over his decision of haircut.

He was only permitted to go when he gave them his ID as a US police officer.

He wrote on Twitter;


@wearethe2030 shared a photograph of himself and stated: 4 days in Nigeria and I have just been profiled as a criminal by the Nigeria police power. They profile individuals dependent on looks. Male with fears, twists, etc. I work for the Washington DC as a cop and I have interlaces. Enough of the profiling! 

Riding back to my lodging on Toyin road, Allen, Ikeja, with Taxify, and the police had halted me twice on a similar street, requested me to step out of the vehicle approaching what I accomplish professionally. My police accreditations spared me from being an unfortunate casualty
