Nigeria premier university also known as the University of Ibadan, recently held it’s 71st founders day and Convocation ceremony. It was an academic event filled with so much glamour and excitement, as students who had completed their degree programs officially graduated from the institution.

One very notable attraction was the presence of the seating Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi Iku Baba Yeye. He was present at the ceremony to attend the convocation ceremony of his youngest wife, Olori Ajoke Adyemi often referred to as Olori Ola.

She was all filled with a radiant smile, and her happiness sure knew no bounds as her husband cheered her on as she graduated.

In narrating what she passed through before she became a graduate, she said:

“Today is one of the happiest day in my life.. if you could remember the day I signed out, I said it’s a story for another day, yes today is the day. I have got 4 different certificates, I have NCE certificate from Emmanuel Alayande College of education, HND from Kwara State Polythecnic before I did D,E to the University of Ibadan.

“When I got admission I was about to give birth to my first son, I was in my second trimester and I couldn’t continue because I would always have morning sickness and others, I had to defer to next session. Before the next session could come, I had the little boy but I had to nurse him (hmmm) another deferment.

“After six months, I resumed school. I will go to class in the morning, and go back home in the afternoon for almost a year before I stopped breastfeeding my baby. I couldn’t graduate with the set I came in with, (they are through with their masters now), I couldn’t graduate with the next set either, but here I am today after 5 years( it was supposed to be 2years cause I did Direct Entry).

“All I have to say is Alihamdulilahi. It is Allahs wish and it is written. I’m not good at telling stories, please congratulate me”
